Al Baraka Association Participates in the 7th Kuala Lumpur Forum Conference

The 7th Kuala Lumpur Forum on Thought and Civilization commenced on Sunday, October 7, and continued until October 9, 2024, in Istanbul under the theme “Palestine as a Catalyst for Civilizational Revival.” The Algerian Baraka Association participated as one of the main sponsors, alongside Turkey’s Sabahattin Zaim University and the “Human and Civilization Movement” organization.

The conference gathered a distinguished group of scholars, thinkers, and leaders of civil society organizations who deliberated on the role of the Palestinian cause in revitalizing the Islamic world’s civilizational project. Panel discussions addressed several key topics, including the impact of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation on shifting regional power dynamics and leveraging this event to inspire intellectual and social revival across the Islamic world.

In his address at the conference, Sheikh Mohamed Hassan Ould Dedew, Vice President of the Kuala Lumpur Forum and the World Union of Muslim Scholars, stated, “The Al-Aqsa Flood represents the spark that reignites the nation’s revival.” He explained that the conference’s timing coincides with the anniversary of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” to underscore its significance as a pivotal moment in reshaping the priorities of the Muslim Ummah.

Palestinian leader Osama Hamdan emphasized that the rise of resistance movements across the Muslim world demonstrates the failure of a corrupt global system to suppress nations. He added that the “Al-Aqsa Flood” unveiled the true face of occupation and its supporters, presenting the Islamic Ummah with a genuine opportunity to redirect the course of the struggle and foster unity against the occupation.

Abdul Razzaq Maqri, Secretary General of the Kuala Lumpur Forum, highlighted that “The Palestinian cause is not merely a struggle for liberation but a cornerstone for the unity and revival of the Ummah.”

The Algerian Baraka Association’s sponsorship of this event aligns with its mission to support just causes and contribute to intellectual movements that reinforce the resilience of the Palestinian people and spotlight the centrality of their cause in the broader civilizational revival of the Islamic world.
